The Revealed Word Always Meets the
Challenge of the Age
There Will Be a Bride
"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready."
According to the scriptures, the whole purpose of the Gospel is that after all preaching, prophesying, operation of gifts and callings, there would be a clean, spotless, virgin church whom Christ will take to himself as a Bride. The scriptures refers to the church in comparison to a husband and wife relationship, speaking of marriage as the nearest example of Christ and His church.
Salvation Comes by Jesus Christ Alone
Salvation comes not by any creed, any manner of knowledge, or any act of service. It comes by faith in Jesus Christ, who was sent to pay a debt of sin no man could pay. It is faith in this Jesus, of whom it is written
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Paul said "For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. (2 Corinthians 11:2)" . If there is to be any burning desire in the preaching of the Word of God, it is not only to call people unto the saving grace of Jesus Christ, who is the only source of Life. It is to bring God's people to the purifying waters of the Word of God, so they can be washed and led of His Spirit to live a pleasing life, becoming of a wife. How does she make herself ready? She does so by believing and clothing herself with the living Word of God.
